Q) Is it a Peer-Reviewed Journal?

A) Yes. Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference/journal at the same time (double submission). Helix adopts the double-blind review process of the submitted papers.

Length of the review process varies between papers, and many factors affect the time it takes to review a paper. The time it takes for an associate editor to be assigned, and for available, qualified reviewers to be located depends on the complexity and the type of material submitted for review. Each publication makes a concerted effort to keep the review time to a minimum that is consistent with keeping the publication’s reputation for quality and integrity. Each submission placed into the review is sent to at least two reviewers. You must indicate the reason for requesting or excluding reviewers during the submission process if any.

Q) How do you deal with Plagiarism, Is there any Policy for publication ethics and malpractice?

A) All the papers submitted to us for consideration will go through a Plagiarism Detection software before technical review. Using the ideas and work of others without giving them credit is unfair, unethical and dishonest. Using or Copying even one sentence from someone else’s Research work or Paper, or even one of your own papers that have previously been published, without marking proper citation is considered plagiarism and will violate copyright policies. Our Journal is very strict about plagiarism of any kind and we discourage it in all forms

Short sections of another article are plagiarized without any significant data or idea taken from the other paper

A warning is given to the authors and a request to change the text and properly cite the original article is made.

 

 

Intermediate

 

A significant portion of a paper is plagiarized (including plagiarism of one’s own previously published work) without proper citation to the original paper.

The submitted article is rejected and a resubmission is not permitted.
Severe

 

A significant portion of a paper (>35%) is plagiarized that involves reproducing original results or ideas presented in another publication. Multiple (repeated) instances of plagiarism at the intermediate level may also constitute a severe infraction.

The paper is rejected and the authors are forbidden to submit further articles to the journal of a period of two years.
