Synthesis Rare Earth Oxide and Its Effect of Process Temperature on Compound Composition

Abstract
Rare earth oxide (La2O3) has been synthesized using La(NO3)3.6H2O as precursor solution. 1 mmol Lanthanum
Nitrate Hexahydride (La(NO3)3.6H2O), 5 mmol Nickel Nitrate Hexahydride (Ni (NO3)2.6H2O) and 7.2 mmol
Glycine (C2H5NO2) proceed by solution combustion synthesis methods. An analysis of X-Ray Diffraction was
conducted for lanthanum oxide phase and compound composition on different process temperature. Lanthanum
oxide (La2O3) phase appears at 2 angle between 100 up to 900 with process temperature at room temperature,
60 0C, 70 0C and 80 0C.
